Frog on the Moon
Stephanie Pressman started writing poetry at
about age nine and finished a romantic novelette at thirteen. She has written
poetry through college; while teaching high school; in between raising kids,
getting an MA in English at San Jose State University, and teaching writing
at
the community college level; and during her career as graphic artist and owner
of her own design and publishing business. She is currently retired and lives
in Cupertino, California, with her husband, various adult offspring and six or
so cats. Her work has appeared in Montserrat
Review, cæsura, Bridges, CQ/California State Poetry Quarterly, The MacGuffin, The Kerf, and other small press magazines.
As a graphic designer for over 25 years, she
has created a great variety of materials including logos, collateral, corporate
brochures,
packaging, menus, and posters, mostly things that could be printed.
She designed covers and/or layouts of several poetry books for the small
publishing company, Jacaranda Press, for americas review, and for Poetry San José’s
semi-annual journal, cæsura.
